We thoroughly enjoyed the time at the cabin. We had everything we needed for some fun family time, visiting our daughter at Virginia Tech. Can’t wait to go back to the cabin!!

My family had a wonderful weekend at the Cabin on the Cove. The home is beautiful and well furnished including linens, guest towels and kitchen necessities. The owner was very helpful and responsive and even surprised us with a bottle of wine upon our arrival. We contacted a local company that delivered kayaks to the driveway and picked them up from the dock so that we didn't have to bring them back up the steps. You will get a work out! We counted roughly 90 steps to the dock but it is well worth the trip! Just make sure you take everything down that you will need because they definitely make you think twice about whether it's really needed once your down near the water. We spent a couple of days just eating and having our morning coffee on the deck, kayaking on the lake, fishing from the floating dock, and playing corn hole, cards and air hockey. Great family time and so relaxing. We were even treated to an hour long visit on Sunday morning by a doe and her two little ones as they grazed for breakfast just below the deck. Plenty of birds and squirrels to watch too. Thank you Trina for allowing us to stay in your home. We hope to visit again very soon.

My husband and I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Cabin on the Cove. The pictures online really do not do it justice. It was a wonderful part 2 to me and my husband's honeymoon. We loved that the cabin was located right on the water which was convenient for daily fishing. The house was very clean and was beautifully furnished. We also enjoyed playing board games that were provided. It was also just very peaceful and a nice getaway. The owner also made it a very pleasant stay. We will definitely make a return visit :)

We had a super time at this clean and comfortable log cabin. There's something special about a log cabin perched high above a lake with beautiful views at any time of day. We looked at many options near the New River & trail, but this cabin had a great location close to the Draper Mercantile junction of the NRT. We were very happy with our choice.
We rented kayaks and a paddle board , which were delivered to the dock by the very helpful owner of the company. This gave the kids plenty to do when we weren't biking the NRT.
The weather was surprisingly perfect for early August, so we also loved eating dinner on the deck each night.
Bonus~ you will work off your extra vacation goodies as you walk up the stairs from the dock. :)
The owner was wonderful to work with. FIVE STARS for sure, and I'd say, pictures don't do this place justice.

We are frequent VRBO users and this cabin by far was the best of all our rentals. Very clean and spacious, it was well designed. There is a excellent supply of cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishes, etc. The location is off the beaten path in a quiet cove with a large sitting porch. The lower floor hosts the laundry, full bath, and a game room with a TV. For families with kids this is great as you can send them down stairs while the adults can stay on the upper floor. This will be a return cabin for us when we are back in the area.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend and hope to be back again soon. The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable and the lake is beautiful.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin! It is clean, nicely decorated, and has everything you need. It is also at a great place on the lake - just minutes to the marinas, restaurants and more. Trina is wonderful to work with! I would highly recommend staying here!
