What a wonderful vacation rental!

We loved this house and had a fabulous family vacation. This property is well maintained and it is obvious that the owners pay attention to detail. Everyone's favorite spot was the fabulous front porch. We were greeted with a very thoughtful "goodie" bag that was great fun to unpack. There was plenty of room (and bathrooms) to comfortably accommodate our family of 10. The only thing that we would suggest is to upgrade the mattress quality.

Great place to stay!

I agree with the review that says this is the best place to stay in Cape Charles. I rented many cottages for a family reunion, and this was the best. Clean, charming, wonderful furnishings, great amenities....I could go on and on. Enjoyed the beautiful yard, and there was plenty of room for family gatherings. My husband and I stayed on the third floor, a perfect, quiet hideaway. The porch is wonderful for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning.

Beautiful traditional home with all the amenities of a modern home

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. The decor was lovely. We had everything we needed including a high chair for the baby. My oldest son loved the office. Almost a sanctuary for him! The beach chairs and wagon were a great extra. And being so close to the beach and the shops in the historic district was perfect. We will definitely stay again in The Chesapeake Dream.

Fantastic Victorian house

This home is well cared-for and it is well appointed. The house was very clean when we arrived and it obviously very well maintained. We enjoyed quiet breakfasts and on the porch where the only noise was the singing of the birds each morning. The beds are very nice and the 3rd floor suite is unbelievably quiet. The beach is only 1 block away and this is the wider nicer part of the beach. The town boat ramp is just about 5 minutes away by car and because the house is a corner lot, there was plenty of parking for our boat. The only thing I can think of to add to the house is outdoor closelines for hanging bathing suits and beach towels. I highly recommend this house for your next stay in Cape Charles. Don't forget to try the golf course' Coach House Tavern for at least one of your meals. Entree's are about $15 and the food is fantastic.

Chesapeake Dream is MY DREAM!

Chesapeake Dream is such a grand home. Beauty of history with all the modern amenities. This is the 2nd year in a row we have stayed here and love it more and more each time. Beautiful corner house with a wrap around porch to sit and drink coffee in the mornings, tea in the afternoon and steamed shrimp all day long. So close to the beach that we walked barefoot there. Love the beautiful gardens! By far the finest house in town. So relaxing and lovely to walk to Mason Street for dinner and then a few short blocks to Central Park. Cape Charles is my favorite nook in the world and Chesapeake Dream is my favorite place to relax. You can tell this home is loved by the owners. It is beautifully maintained and decorated with such care. It makes the walls of the home seem to open up and hug you when you arrive. Not just a vacation place to stay, but a beloved home to enjoy. Definitely will be back again and again!!
