AWESOME!!

Friends have been trying to get us to stay at this place for a long time! Our only regret is that we did not listen and do it sooner. This Cabin is absolutely breath taking and one of the most relaxing places I have been in this world. It has that remote feel with access to the city and plenty of local restaurants if you wish to not cook. Clint and Roxanne were awesome with making sure we had plenty of instructions on how to travel, places to eat, shop and site seeing. This was truly one of the most relaxing times my wife and I have had together. I highly recommend that everyone go as a couple getaway or a family vacation. Your only regret will be not doing it sooner.

Absolutely Breathtaking!

Absolutely amazing is what this cabin is, from the moment you pull up to it. Everything is 5 star from the hot tub and fire pit on the deck with amazing views to the comfortable furnishings. The owner is so helpful in everyway through the entire stay. You will not be disappointed if you stay at Pilot's Perch and we can't wait to return!!

We come back as often as we can!

We just returned from our 6th trip to Pilot's Perch. I can not say enough about the cabin (which was gorgeous the first time we rented, but all the recent work that Clint and Roxanne have done bring their home to a whole new level of luxury), the beautiful area (we went to Chateau Morrisette, Mount Airy, and drove country roads and enjoyed the scenery and the friendly people), and, most of all the owners. They go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and that all is going well during their stay. This is a destination that never disappoints!

Great owners & great house!

Just spent 5 days at Pilot's Perch Labor Day week. Can't say enough good things about the owner Roxanne! She is awesome. If you have any questions that haven't been already addressed on her FAQ info that she sends to you...all you have to do is email and you will get a response usually within a few hours. Roxanne also provides you with a detailed list of everything you need to know/do upon arrival & prior to leaving. We rode our motorcycles to Pilot's Perch & all the roads are paved, in good condition and the garage was a perfect fit for 2 Harley's with room to spare. The house is also just perfect. The views, fire pit, hot tub, gas grill & the accommodations are 5 star. We traveled all around Virginia, North Carolina & Tennessee on our motorcycles and there are many great roads with plenty of twists & turns. The grocery store is within a short drive from the house. As well as gas stations, restaurants & other points of interest. If you decided to come stay at Pilot's Perch...you will not be disappointed!!!!

Can't say enough good things!

Perfect for what we were looking for -- quiet, amenities, relaxation, to get away from it all. My husband and I spent 5 days here and couldn't be more pleased. Working with the owners was easy and a delight. The detailed instructions were very useful; they have thought of everything. Best of all -- the view!!!! I loved just watching the weather roll in and out. We didn't really explore the local area, but did visit Mt Airy one day for groceries and a movie. We would definitely return for another visit.

Fireworks!!

What an absolutely beautiful place to stay! The view, of course, was awesome. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on the 4th and got to see fireworks from all the neighboring communities right from the decks. We had some rain off and on but in the midst of those we got to see a double rainbow. It was so relaxing and peaceful so we stayed most of our time at the cabin but did get to Mt. Airy and Pilot Mountain. This is one anniversary we will never forget! Anyone who stays here will not be disappointed. All the conveniences of home and better. Hope to make it back next year. The owners did everything to make this vacation perfect.

Perfect!!

You will definitely NOT be disappointed. The view is beautiful, the house is a little piece of heaven and the lower deck with the fire pit and hot tube overlooking Mt. Airy has changed my life. I was looking for a break from the rat race and a little peace and quiet for my birthday and that is exactly what I got. The pictures do not do this perfect little home justice. The directions Roxanne gave us for check in were spot on and made the whole process simple and easy. She was great, even called to check on us to make sure we got checked in ok.

Romantic Getaway For Two!

This house is absolutely amazing. It's comfortable AND beautifully decorated. The lower deck with the hot tub and sectional around the fire pit was absolutely heaven. My husband and I wanted and were in desperate need of a low key vacation tucked away from distraction, and chaos and this was just the perfect escape we needed. The owners were FANTASTIC and made us feel welcome and at home during our whole stay! This was our first trip to Pilot's Perch but it will most definitely not be our last my husband and I are already planning our next vacation to this amazing getaway and this time we plan to make it a longer stay:)

Vacation in the clouds!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at Pilots's Perch. As soon as we pulled into the front driveway, our mouths dropped because we were so taken by the view. We must have stood in the driveway for about 15 minutes before actually entering the cabin haha. It didn't feel like we had driven up the mountain very far, but once you drive into the neighborhood you can actually see how high you are. I have never seen a better view. We were greeted with a very rustic entrance with 2 wonderful wooden rockers on the front porch, giving us the feeling this would be a house full of character. Even the doorbell is adorable! You will see what I mean. I noticed there have been a few updates since the pictures have been posted on here. It's nice having wood floors all over the main floor. I was expecting carpet so that was definitely a nice surprise. The hot tub was amazing. We used it at various times of the day, not just at night. So relaxing. There are several chairs and couches outside to enjoy while reading a book or working on your tan. The weather was perfect. We were lucky enough to see a mother deer and her fawn walking behind the cabin 2 days in a row. We also saw several groundhogs. Basically there are not enough good things we can say about this place. The homeowners are wonderful people who obviously spend a lot of time and effort ensuring their cabin us perfect. We will definitely be back! We pretty much decided that as soon as we pulled in. Neither of us wanted to leave. One more thing! If you have a good pair of binoculars I would suggest bringing them. There is a small pair at the cabin if you don't own any. There were many hawks flying close by and it would give you a closer view of the wildlife. Thank you Roxanne and Clint for having such a wonderful cabin and sharing it with us!

Excellent, relaxing family vacation!

This house is absolutely amazing. It's comfortable AND beautifully decorated. The lower deck with the hot tub and sectional around the fire pit was absolute bliss. My husband and I wanted a low key vacation with our two kids and this house was just the ticket. We'll definitely be back!
