Weekend in the Caboose
Really enjoyed our stay. Wonderful attention to detail. Comfortable bed. Enjoyed the fire pit and sitting outside in the evenings. Recommend the Natural Bridge and Safari.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. It was all we needed. The weather was beautiful so we spent our evenings sipping wine by the gas fire pit and just relaxing. Excellent restaurants close by as well as plenty of outdoor activities for families. We'll be back!

Our family of four (one toddler, still in a pack n play which fit in the living room area) stayed this past weekend! Once the rain cleared and we could enjoy the wonderful outdoor living, it didn't seem so small! You can categorize this unique chance as "glamping" with more perks. The scenery and outdoor living is beautiful but yet you have a fully functioning interior. Our children thought it was amazing and we made sure to hike the Chessie Trail b/c of the history of the caboose! We ventured into Lexington and also hiked Natural Bridge. Tom has done a great job keeping the authenticity of the train, the flashing railroad sign was a hit with our children. My daughter cannot wait to go to school and tell her friends she stayed in a caboose! We got to view horses in the pasture adjacent to the property while roasting our marshmallows! We made use of both the gas fire pit (when it was still damp out) and the wood burning fire pit (when the weather was nice enough for S'mores).Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity! It was a getaway to remember!

Clean, comfortable, quaint and overall relaxing. We enjoyed being so close to the area attractions. Great place to get away from it all!

This is the perfect place to stay with a train loving toddler. It's the perfect size and done so well. The little patio is perfect for a little BBQ. We will absolutely be back!

It was very obvious great care was taken when this caboose was restored. I'm no expert, but it looks very authentic. The property around the caboose was finished perfect as well. Not everyone can stay in something this nice. The patio is a perfect place to unwind around the fire after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. The property is very peaceful and there are even horses that like to be pet. I would highly recommend this caboose as we will definitely be back!
