Must Have Getaway to Drake Lodge, Massanutten Resort

We had an amazing time at Drake Lodge. It was 4 couples and a 9 month old and it was plenty of space. The view off the back deck is incredible and the house was very well equipped.
It was a pleasure to work with the owners. They were traveling during the days leading up to our stay but still got back to each of my questions within 24 hrs.
One thing to note: The bathrooms are within the bedrooms. There is no "shared" bathrooms. That means the 5th bedroom has no bathroom and would need to walk through someone else's bedroom to use the bathroom. If your group consists of a bunch of family members it should not be a problem. For us, we were very glad that we only needed 4 bedrooms and did not bring a 5th couple as the last thing we wanted was to get a knock on our bedroom door in the middle of the night when one of them needed to use the bathroom. :)
Massanutten has a lot of activities to offer and they were all just a short drive away. We ziplined (so fun!), mountain biked and hiked. We are definitely planning to come back to Massanutten and when we do we'll be staying at Drake Lodge!

Excellent! Would definitely come back!!

Labor Day Wknd

The Drake Lodge was a wonderful home and the perfect spot to spend a long wknd in the fall! We spent every moment we could on the deck because the views are phenomenal. The kitchen was well equiped so we were able to whip up fabulous meals. I highly recommed hiking the ridge trail and doing a kayak adventure with Shenandoah outfitters.

Heaven on Earth

My husband and I took our three kids, their mates and the grandkids to enjoy a week in the mountains at Drake Lodge. I have stage 4 Breast Cancer and it was a chance for us to all be together as close to the Heavens as we could! We loved the home and the area and I hated to see our time come to an end.
It was very healing to sit out on the upper deck with a cup of coffee in the morning, before anyone else was awake, and feel the presence of God with me.
When we returned, my doctor said the trip must have done me some good because my blood counts had all improved!
If it was possible, we would do the trip every year!

"SHANGRI-LA in the SHENANDOAHS!!"

So much to see.......so much to do.......! Accommodations perfect! Comfortable and lovely! Beautiful scenery from the deck! Fantastic location! Looking forward to our return! The Proctor Family

Outstanding Vacation Rental - Great View

My family along with my sister's family rented Drake Lodge last week. We had a great time. The house was outstanding and was everything we expected.
Bob was responsive during our stay and answered all our questions quickly. He was an ideal landlord.

Beautiful View

We decided to book a trip for Easter weekend very late, luckly the Drake Lodge became available. We had a great stay. The house was clean, large, and beautiful views.

Great vacation home! Will definitely return.

I was told by a friend about this fantastic vacation home in the mountains. My first impression was that it was a beautiful place to relax.

Drake Lodge is very clean and well organised . There are plenty of things to do - reading, watching TV playing games in the basement and the WIFI speed is excellent

The scenery from the balcony at the back was fantastic and I could see the mountains and watch the deer beneath my balcony. The walk around the neighbourhood was very relaxing. The peace and quiet and the crisp mountain air really helped me unwind unwind.

The thoughtful owners have also provided a manual for guest and suggestions for places to visit around the area.

If one feels too lazy to cook, there are of course pizza and takeaways just a phone call away

Will I come back? ... a definite YES YES YES! One of best vacation place ever !

Great Weekend!!

What an added bonus!! We attended our daughter's graduation, and had wonderful accomodations, as well. Instead of staying in a hotel, we decided to try a home in Massanutten Resort. The location was perfect, and the house was amazing!! Very clean, great view...and the furnishings were beautiful!! Perfect for a mountain home! We had an amazing weekend. We would definitely stay here again!!
