This log house was completed in 2005 and when you first walk in, it still smells like the pine wood it was made from. It is located on over 16 peaceful, wooded acres, overlooks over 850 acres of additional farm land with the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance; the property does border both Hamilton and Leesburg for convenience, each about 5 minutes away.
'Windridge' is furnished with family antiques and artwork but has all the modern conveniences for your complete comfort as well. It has a combined living/dining/kitchen area with a huge fireplace. Off this central area is a separate den and screen porch which both have closing doors for privacy.
The master bedroom has a king bed and it's own private bath on the first floor; with all of it's windows it feels like you're in a tree house! There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, one with 2 twins and the other with a queen bed.
This house is located in the country, but Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD are a reasonable day trip from here. Within a shorter drive is the Leesburg Corner Outlet with great, popular discount stores, many historical buildings, Civil War attractions, wineries and many parks are all also very popular year round.

Windridge is a slice of heaven! This was our second visit--one in the Fall and now one in the Spring. What a beautifully appointed home with modern conveniences surrounded by the mountains. The fireplace and family room are cozy and warm, and the screened in porch is a perfect spot for reading and relaxing. Windridge is close to the airport and historic Leesburg, yet you are back in the woods to enjoy the quiet of nature. It is a magical place to escape and be restored. We can't wait to return. WOW - what an amazing place to stay!! The pictures do not even come close to showing how lovely and charming this place is, both inside and out. I spent a long weekend with my girlfriends here a few weeks ago, and not one of us wanted to leave. The setting is so peaceful with beautiful views off the deck. Just the drive in takes you past horse farms and rolling hills. The kitchen is completely outfitted and fabulous. Easy to cook and just stay in if you want. I wanted to sit on the screened in porch and take in the views all day long! There are many wineries nearby, as well as great outlet shopping. We also enjoyed a girls' spa day at Jasmine's Day Spa in Leesburg, which was GREAT. It is not a matter of if I go back to stay again at this cabin, but merely a question of WHEN can I get up there again?!

A most delightful refuge from the cares and hassles of life. We felt right at home with the lovely antiques, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches to this beautiful cabin. The setting is very secluded (except for the deer we saw outside our window) and peaceful. The back porch is a perfect spot for curling up with a book or having a glass of wine. There are many wineries close by. You will not regret renting this beautiful home and our whole experience was nothing but positive.

We chose this as a central spot to see the travel highlights of Virginia and it was perfect. Very nice owner, who goes out of her way to see that your stay is wonderful. Just a few minutes out of Leesburg which has both historic and upscale restaurants with a good sized outlet mall for shopping. Thanks Kaki, we loved it and hope to get back soon.

I had a great time staying in this lovely home for a month while on a business trip to Leesburg. The owner is very nice and accomidating and I got a much better deal than the local hotels. I would recommend this home for a weekend getaway, family vacation, or even a business trip.
