The Meadow Cottage is a charming one level, three bedroom cottage tucked away on a quiet two acre meadow in the heart of Abingdon. The cottage , built in the 1930's has been lovingly restored and modern conveniences added.
Decorated in English cottage style, the cottage boasts hardwood floors, handpainted walls and furniture and well as attractive furnishings and antiques. The cottage has three bedrooms: a large queen master and 2 double bedrooms. A cozy living room and fully equipped country eat in kitchen are centrally located between the bedrooms. There is one full bath with tub/shower and a laundry room.
Two nice porches offer quiet spots of visit and enjoy the meadow life. The back yard offers Adirondack chairs and outside dining area complete with fire pit. We are very excited about our new renovated garden room that we have added outside. This was an old canning room...it is now a lovely place with French doors to sit and enjoy the meadow view, have a quiet moment, or read a good book!
The Meadow Cottage is a short bike ride or walk from dining, our local popular brewery, shopping as well as Barter Theatre and The Virginia Creeper Trail. The trail head of the Virginia Creeper Trail is about an 8 minute bike ride.
Enjoy exploring Abingdon and the surrounding area from this charming home away from home. Perfect for family trips, romantic getaways and friends meeting to share a weekend. Complimentary pastries, juices and coffees/teas are provided on arrival morning. Enjoy complimentary passes to the Coomes Recreation Center. All linens are furnished, even fluffy bathrobes.

It is considered part of the Tri-cities area, made up of Bristol, Virginia-Tennessee; Kingsport, Tennessee; and Johnson City, Tennessee. Roanoke, Virginia, is approximately 100 miles to the northeast of Abingdon.

Policies
Low season rates 2018 /2019 begin November 26, 2018 and run until March 29, 2019 excluding holidays.
Rates and regular cancellation policies do not apply to BMS Race Weekends and /or special events at BMS
Standard cancellation policy: 30 days. A No-Cancel Policy for BMS Race events.
10% booking fee will be deducted from deposits made with credit cards when reservations are cancelled prior to 30 day full payment deadline. Reservations cancelled after 30 day due date are non refundable unless we are able to re-book the property and then subject to rebooking fee.
NOTE: we do not rent our properties for college house parties.
