West Virginia’s vacation cabin rental resort
The idea for creating a cabin rental vacation getaway in the Allegheny Mountain Range came to life over several meetings at a Bob Evans restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, between co-owners Paul and Christy Liimatta and Joe Boffo. Joe had been accumulating land in the Genoa, West Virginia, area for several years and had dreamed of building cabins, tree houses and uniquely designed vacation rentals on a beautiful area called Hampton Ridge.
Joe had been friends with Paul for years, but had no idea Liimatta was liquidating his Buffalo Wild Wings businesses and looking for a new investment opportunity. Over breakfast to catch up, Joe presented Paul with his cabin rental business plan. Paul was impressed, as were his bankers and advisors … and Rustic Ravines was born. In February 2017, Boffo moved to Wayne County, West Virginia, in a camper and began the task of developing the property.
Nine months later, nine West Virginia vacation cabin rentals were available, as well as a party barn, pavilion and large gazebo. Rustic Ravines is the perfect place for wedding receptions, retirement parties, corporate events and musical events.

Hi Erin we are taking action on your suggestions fyi; you were the first people to stay in our Highlander Yurt in the Winter; so very good feed back for us! Thanks! Joe P.S. I found some odd shaped keys that are black with a 5-way Allen Wrench type head on them? Are these yours? Do you need them sent to you? Let me know?
Very quiet and private place near by the woods. The hosts are nice and very helpful. However the roof lamp in the living room was down so the house was a little dark at night. No big deal tho. Overall very good experience, highly recommended.

Hi Yang, thank you for your nice review! Just so you know, we had a wire that was not connected to the light in the great room...The fan worked but the lights didn't as you know...That was weird but I had my maintenance guy look at it on Wednesday and he found the problem so next time you come, remind me, and I will give you a "special offer" ;) Thanks again and it was very nice meeting you guys! Joe
The cabin was awesome! We loved how cozy it was and the wonderful view. We enjoyed the hot tub on the porch. It is a bit difficult to drive to but Joe's directions helped us out a ton. He was easy to communicate with. When you arrive, there is a little general store where you check in where you can purchase food, drinks, amenities etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The host was helpful with providing clear instructions on locating it, as it’s pretty far off the beaten path. The hot tub was very relaxing, the cabin was clean, and we loved the room outside for our dogs to play. Would stay again!

These cabins are very nice, clean and spacious! The photos did not do it justice. The views are amazing as you’re on top of the hill and can see for miles! The back decks are spacious and the hot tub was so relaxing. All the cabins are adequately spaced so you don’t feel totally alone but you are secluded. I will definitely come back!

Our stay was perfect! Joe was kind, the cabin and grounds are beautiful, and our trip was even better than imagined. Highly recommended, and we plan on going back!
