Our Mountaineer Wooden Yurt is an extremely unique structure. A wooden octagonal Yurt that was made from trees harvested from our property. Our pictures tell you a lot and give you an intriguing glimpse but you will still be blown away when you see this Yurt in person; it’s a real gem! The (8) main support logs are great Ash Trees that were taken down because they had died from being attacked by the Ash Beatle.
The roof is a 33' dia. metal Corn Bin Roof that makes a 20' high dome in the center The space is an open floor plan and has many cool design features. This Yurt has a queen bed and three pull-out queen sofas and a 65" TV with free WIFI and equipped with an Amazon Fire Stick for your viewing pleasure.
The Mountaineer Yurt also has an L-shaped bar that doubles as a dining area/gathering space and is awesome for parties or football games or just hanging out with family and friends...And, don't forget to check out the jacuzzi on the back deck ;)
Oh and one more thing; the Mountaineer has a full bathroom/shower and get an "outhouse" built inside the house! How cool is that? Our guest will have access to all 300 acres of our property to hike and explore and enjoy! We do have ATV rentals and it's really fun to rent and ride a cool Side-by-Side around the area and explore our properties!

West Virginia’s vacation cabin rental resort
The idea for creating a cabin rental vacation getaway in the Allegheny Mountain Range came to life over several meetings at a Bob Evans restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, between co-owners Paul and Christy Liimatta and Joe Boffo. Joe had been accumulating land in the Genoa, West Virginia, area for several years and had dreamed of building cabins, tree houses and uniquely designed vacation rentals on a beautiful area called Hampton Ridge
Joe had been friends with Paul for years, but had no idea Liimatta was liquidating his Buffalo Wild Wings businesses and looking for a new investment opportunity. Over breakfast to catch up, Joe presented Paul with his cabin rental business plan. Paul was impressed, as were his bankers and advisors … and Rustic Ravines was born. In February 2017, Boffo moved to Wayne County, West Virginia, in a camper and began the task of developing the property.
Nine months later, nine West Virginia vacation cabin rentals were available, as well as a party barn, pavilion and large gazebo. Rustic Ravines is the perfect place for wedding receptions, retirement parties, corporate events and musical events.
