Had a great experience during our stay & loved the location and convenient accommodations in the cabin. We have three kids, ages 13 and twin 8 yr olds and a Shih Tzu. They all loved being outside playing in the spacious yard outside the cabin and looking for sticks to make a fire in the fire pit, where we made snores! Loved sitting on the swing on the front porch feeling the morning sun and relax! Loved it!

Thanks Ron & Pam for the darling touches that made our 2012 Christmas special in your cabin. Your directions were spot on and there was plenty of room to park our ATV trailer. It was divine to be close to Luray for movies, groceries, etc., yet out in the country away from the maddening crowds. Allowing our dogs to join us made our holiday more memorable. Rest assured we'll tell everyone, this is the place to rent.

The property is clean and well maintained. It is also centrally located to New Market, Museum of Frontier Culture and lots of other "must-sees" in the area. It is about 5 minutes from Luray Caverns. Other amazing things we did while there include tubing with Shenandoah River Outfitters, a visit to Luray Rescue Zoo, and a trail ride with Fort Valley Stables. The museum at New Market was awesome as was the Museum of Frontier Culture (in Staunton). We also hiked the White Oak Falls trail in Shenandoah National Park, but from the park boundary up to the Lower Falls rather than from Skyline Drive down. It was a nice hike and the falls were beautiful. When we contacted the owners regarding renting the property, Pam got back to us promptly and was both friendly and professional in all her contact with us. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend, and as a result of this experience I believe property rentals like this are the best way for a family to vacation. We would venture out to attractions or activities during the day and come home to a home-cooked meal and DVDs and games or time on the porch to relax afterward. The cabin is set in a meadow but the Shenandoah Mountains are everywhere you look. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot.
