Description
Beautiful Lake Front House on a 7 acre estate. 3 acres woods...4 acres open pasture...with a deep water open cove with visibility across the lake. We are located on the public side, relatively close to Lake Anna Marina!! A thorough cleaning is completed after each rental.
One of the most affordable family, friends, couples getaway on Lake Anna and we like to think one of the most beautiful properties on the Lake.
This rental is the Lower Level of the house with WALKOUT access and stunning views of the water. It is open and spacious with 10 foot ceilings, 2,600 square feet, and 4 bedrooms & 2 baths. The owners (Pat and Tom) are occasionally at the property to perform maintenance for continued guest enjoyment.
The 1st br has a beautiful Queen bed in Oriental motif with a private 8ft sliding door/view of lake, with additional windows with a hanging stained glass design, antique love seats with books for your reading pleasure, new Serta, pillow top Queen bed with 12ft x 16ft private deck just outside the door.
2nd BR, in equestrian motif, has a quality, full futon, microwave, sink, private door/window with beautiful view of lake, 32' hd/tv/DVD combo,, books/games.
The living area is spacious with a lovely granite top, wet bar with insta-hot water dispenser. There is a bistro table and chairs on a raised stage area for playing chess/checkers/board games. A pub dining table for four has a view of lake. There is a 50' HD/TV, blue ray, surround sound, with comfortable L shaped sofa and leather chairs to relax. The Bathroom is a tub/shower in fishing motif.
The 3rd Br is a twin with windows for view. The 4th Br has a queen, Laura Ashley mattress bed, in a fishing motif with wonderful view of water.
There is a full stocked kitchen complete with dish washer, coffee maker, Keurig, blender, pots and pans and accessories. 2nd seating area with 2 love seats and dining table and tv.
Linens and towels, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper are provided at no charge as well.
Of course, the grounds are what sets us apart from the typical rental. We have 7 acres of pasture/mature hardwood trees giving the feel of overnight camp!! There are outside trail lights with wood chip paths for your safety, to walk.
There is a 15' X 20' deck with gazebo and patio furniture lighting, ceiling fan, exquisite view of lake, while underneath a canopy of 150 yr old trees. On cool nights, the fire pit will provide warmth and a place to roast your marshmallows!!
The trail to the boat house passes the sandy beach. The screened-in boat house has ceiling fan, fridge, ceiling light, docking area for your boat or jet ski, deep water for diving, kayak, and inflatables for adults or kids, a sunset view to take your breath away while sitting, either in the lounge chairs, or the romantic porch swing!!

About The Owner
Tom & Patricia bought the property 18 years ago and had the house built a year later. Patricia is a horse enthusiast and enjoys riding her horse, Rio. Tom is a singer/songwriter musician. Both are active in taking care of the grounds at Rocky's Run. They enjoy meeting guests and answering any questions they may have about their stay. The owners prefer families or couples. It's best suitable for children 7 years or older. Exceptions may be made. There are designated, lighted wood chip paths for the safety of our guests. We urge parents and young adults to wear life vests while near the water, and NO one should swim alone.
This is a NON-SMOKING rental and pets are NOT allowed. This is NOT a rental for party groups, or event groups. Day guests are not allowed unless previously discussed.
Additionally, overnight guests are not allowed.
This is a rental for guests at least 28 years of age...some exceptions may be made.
Please note that we are in the country. While we do offer WiFi for our guests, it may not always be reliable and streaming can sometimes be slow.

My other half and I came out on a last minute emergency trip. Tom and Pat were very helpful and got us in within a couple hours. I stay in a lot of vacation homes and this is by far the best we have ever stayed in. The property is absolutely gorgeous, the area that you rent is well kept and comfortable. I love fishing and I have to say I fished my butt off. Caught a bunch of catfish, which we cooked Saturday and Sunday. There is a few inexpensive boat rental locations near by, which if you can do it, I would highly recommend. We flew out of Vegas and stayed with Pat and Tom from Sept. 15th to Sept 18th. I loved it so much we are already booked again for Oct. 17th to the 24th. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay with lots of fishing :)

The house was amazing!!! Everything you need and more to have a wonderful relaxing time away. The fishing was great and the lake was beautiful. The bed was super comfy slept the best I have in years! Rocky's Run is so beautiful and it's close enough to things to do and far enough away to feel like you are at a lake house in the mountains! It's a must see to belive.

Property grounds were beautiful - nicely landscaped with lots of flowers yet with rustic feel. There were many outdoor areas to sit, nap, eat, drink or just enjoy nature either in shade or in sun. Boat house was well equipped with a refrigerator, lounge chairs, kayaks and floats. House was specious and equipped with amenities like TVs, DVD players, board games, books, outdoor games like corn hole. Owners were very responsive to all our questions. Reason for one less star - House felt dark which could be fixed with brighter, dimmable lighting. House plan was a bit inconvenient - the nice, big great room was farther away from the kitchen and lighting there could be brighter. New linen and towels would be nice. Additional option with extra service charge would be attractive to renters who choose not to make/strip their beds and haul away trash. On the whole, we had a wonderful time and would recommend the place to our friends.

beautiful home, view is gorgeous, path to dock and dock house is slightly challenging but we all did it. fishing was not great, only little ones saw a beaver jump in water at dock and got scared. weather was great. all had a wonderful time home was most accomodating. sunsets were beautiful

Gorgeous house tucked right into a quiet corner of Lake Anna. We had two families -- four adults and four children ranging from 6 to 12 years old for a 3 night stay. The house was perfectly setup for us. Our family took two bedrooms off the kitchen/common area and my sister's family took the other two on the other side of the house. The house is spacious, well appointed and has multiple outdoor areas for lounging and relaxing. In fact, it has so much to offer that we couldn't take full advantage of everything in our short 3 day stay. Most of our time was spent on the dock at the boat house. The entire family had a wonderful time jumping off the dock, swimming in the lake, canoeing around and exploring nearby shores. Really great time. Thanks!

We stayed at Rockys Run with three other couples for NYE weekend. We rented the entire lower level which was a perfect amount of space for us. The house was beautiful with amazing views of the lake. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. There was plenty of room for us to all hang out in the living area and play many board games that were stocked in the house. Tom was kind, responsive, and accommodating throughout the rental process. Rockys Run provided us with exactly what we were looking for, a quiet relaxing weekend away from DC.

I have rented a few properties for various vacations and weekenders, but Rocky's Run was by the far just THE GREATEST. This house is one of a kind. Beautiful views, landscaping. Unique and comfortable home. It is so quiet and relaxing. The owners are friendly. The kids loved the place and were never "bored". There is so much to do on the property alone, that we figured the next time we visit Lake Anna, we won't plan near as much time away from the house. It's off the beaten path, but near the necessities like groceries and fuel. I only live a couple hours away, but I felt like I was in a completely different place. Thanks Pat and Tom. We will be back!
