She's a Brick Lake House is a spacious, stately home in a secluded cove the private side of Lake Anna just steps from the water in a quiet cove with 150 feet of waterfront and a sandy bottom with a gentle slope. Watch spectacular sunsets over the water while sitting at the fire pit toasting marshmallows.
Kayaks, paddle boards, and a rowboat are available so you can explore the lake. Fish or tie your boat to the private dock. Its almost 5,000 square feet of living space is designed for entertaining. The well-appointed kitchen has new Corian counters, extra tall solid hickory cabinets, an island with a cooktop, double ovens, ample prep room, and every dish and appliance you would need for a special dinner. Choose between propane or charcoal grills, Keurig or carafe coffee makers. The breakfast table and large round dining table each face the lake and each seat 8. Eat outside on the dining set on the deck, the table below or the picnic table closer to the water. The downstairs bar doubles as a second kitchen. A formal billiard room, a movie room, air hockey, and game table provide many options for indoor entertainment. Widescreen TVs in the family room, bar lounge, and movie room allow different groups to catch a movie, game or play video games. Its 2 large master suites have water views and large tiled showers with benches. Two more bedrooms come with their own bath. Point to point Wi-Fi and Direct TV are included. There are 4 TVs (3 are Smart TVs for streaming), 2 DVD players. An excellent linen service with plush towels and clean quality sheets by Lake Anna Linens is provided.
It makes us so happy to hear our guests tell us that the house is beautiful, the waterfront gorgeous and that the house had everything they needed to make their vacation great. We love hearing that the water and sand were perfect for toddlers, that the kids were so happy, that the parents had a chance to relax.

A fun-loving Iowa boy who grew up on Lake Okoboji and a Speech Therapist from Louisiana got together, made a Brady Bunch and decided that Lake Anna was the place to bring the family together. We work hard so we are able to have fun and enjoy life. We love lake living. It makes us happy to help others have fun. Gregg is the kind of guy who taught all the neighborhood kids how to waterski.
You couldn't even see the house from the water with all the overgrowth. And the interior looked like the zombie apocalypse came during the Bush administration. Gregg cleared the exterior and shored up everything in the interior. Kim did the details to make this our retirement dream. But we're not ready to retire just yet.
So, we welcome other families to live the dream now.
Nothing makes us happier than hearing children squeal with glee, playing in the water and the full-bodied laughter of grownups having a good time. That's what makes it all worthwhile.

Next to Heron's Cove. We can book together with an advance notice to sleep 27. We're at the southern tip of Lake Anna on the private side, furthest from the power plant. So the water is warm, but not too warm. There are no Marinas on our side, but far less boat traffic and waves. We're close to Richmond, Charlottesville, and Kings Dominion.
There's a long gravel driveway ending in a circle, you may park anywhere in the circle

For what you are paying for I believe it is one of the best properties on Lake Anna that will not drain the bank too hard. The backyard is nice and open with a fireplace. With a lot of room for yard games. You will have plenty of room for parking if you are bringing a lot of cars. It is also not too far away from your nearest store.

This house fit our family of 11 perfectly. This was our first time staying on the private side of the lake and the water was so warm! It was amazing to just jump off the dock and fish. The kitchen was big and we weren’t on top of each other when preparing dinner, BIG plus. There were two fridges upstairs and one by the bar downstairs, which was convenient for all of our groceries. The house is a little older and a little outdated furniture wise but nothing crazy. The bedroom with the king bed downstairs also doesn’t have a door for the bathroom, so just an FYI if you like to go privately with a closed door. The wifi isn’t strong, which didn’t bother us much because we were outside almost all day. The kids LOVED the movie themed room as well. We definitely took advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks. It was great that the water gradually gets deeper so our younger kids were able to play freely in. There’s also a little beach area for the younger kids to play. We used the fire pit every night to make delicious s’mores. Overall, my family and I enjoyed this house a lot and the kids already want to go back!

We loved this Lake Anna lake house especially in September. The water was so warm we could swim for hours. We had 2 jet skis tied to the dock and ran them every day for hours. We even towed our neighbor's boat back to their dock when their engine quit in the middle of the lake. We loved being on the private side with less boat traffic and warmer water. The fishing was good and the sandy beach area was nice. We had two campfires with the great campfire ring and chairs. The house was very spacious and clean. The huge kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The extra frig was nice to have with all the food we brought. We watched a few football games on the huge living room TV. We ate our meals inside and outside on the deck and by the campfire. We brought 3 other couples with us and had plenty of room in this house. We hope to rent this house again next September!!

We LOVED this house and the owners are so nice and very helpful and detailed. I cannot say enough about how much they went above and beyond with answering our questions, even measuring a doorway for us!
Since I rely heavily on reviews when I choose a rental I am going to list pros and cons:
PROS:
~very large, spacious house (15 people and not crowded)
~all 4 of the bedrooms have attached bathrooms
~nice walk in closets in each room
~showers were nice w/bench seat and great water pressure
~movie room sleeps additional people
~nice sized laundry room (we actually put a twin air mattress in it and used it as a bedroom)
~billiard room was great
~plenty of TVs
~basement was very spacious with living space & full kitchen
~upstairs kitchen is huge and very well stocked
~large deck wraps around and has a gate that locks for safety of toddlers
~fenced in yard for kids to run around and play ball (but please note that the fence didn't go the whole way around. space went under the deck and had opening at one end)
~back yard was pretty level and not a real long walk to the waterfront (a lot of bare spots in yard made for a lot of mud)
~very nice fire pit and really nice that they provide firewood
~beautiful trees gave lots of shade (does block some of the view of the lake but still such a beautiful view)
~PLENTY of chairs outside (nice to not have to take lawn chairs)
~1 row boat; 3 kayaks; 4 stand up paddle boards (inflatable island not there)
~zero entry into the lake and sandy bottom was nice for kids (but be aware that there really isn't a sandy beach, just about a foot or so of muddy sand)
CONS: (not deal breakers...just be aware)
~only a handful of TV channels
~internet is pretty slow and unable to do Zoom meeting
~although kitchen is well stocked it is very unorganized and most utensils and pans were very old
~large pantry but half full of disposable plastic containers, etc.
~2 separate dining tables (couldn't all eat together)
~2 separate areas in the living room
~a little musty downstairs but not enough to bother my allergies
~bedroom w/queen bed has very, very small bathroom but a nice shower
~kitchen faucet is hot on left and cold on right (just be aware)
~large opening at top of stairs (there's no way to fasten a child safety gate but we used a few sections of free standing child safely fence to block it off and that worked well)
**It was a good price for an older but very nice lake house! We will rent again!

This property was perfect for our family of 11. We had plenty of space inside and out. There were plenty of bedrooms, 2 Master Bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The kitchen was fully stocked with more amenities than we could use. It was nice having the fire pit,
kayaks and paddle boats. We utilized them all. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this beautiful Lake House.

The weekend was absolutely perfect! The house and location was great, the house was wonderful, and the owners were very communicative and helpful. Great all-around.

A beautiful home that matches the advertised pictures. Excellent communication with owners. Good instructions regarding home access, use of amenities, and check-out process, etc. The only thing I would improve would be the early checkout time (10 am) but they probably would have been amenable to a few more hours. Either way, I would stay again. No surprises and I like that.

What a beautiful home! The two King Size bedrooms were fantastic! Very spacious! The queen room did leave something to be desired as far as space, but honestly, with such a large family and beautiful lake, you spend so little time in the bedroom, it doesn't matter much! The kids bedrooms were great for cousin sleepovers! The kitchen was very well stocked and had a fantastic flow to it, making cooking for 13 easy! The kayak and paddle boards spent more time in the water during our week's stay than they did on land! The fishing wasn't the best, but that probably had more to do with the 7 rowdy kids than it did with what the lake had to offer! The hosts were nothing short of AMAZING! They checked in on us to be sure we were enjoying our stay and were INCREDIBLY responsive when we had questions!

Beautiful House, Great Hosts...4 older siblings & spouses vacationing to unplug and unwind...kayaking was fantastic!
Lots of room for everyone to find a place to play, watch tv, read, be together or relax alone....the view & water are spectacular...
if you have small kids who want to catch a fish at the waters edge, put a little salami on their hook...works like magic...even us old folks got a kick out of that!!
Book your trip & enjoy!!
