She's a Brick Lake House is a spacious, stately home in a secluded cove the private side of Lake Anna just steps from the water in a quiet cove with 150 feet of waterfront and a sandy bottom with a gentle slope. Watch spectacular sunsets over the water while sitting at the fire pit toasting marshmallows with your favorite wine or brew.
Kayaks, paddle boards, and a rowboat are available so you can explore the lake. Fish or tie your boat to the private dock. Nap in the hammock. Its almost 5,000 square feet of living space is designed for entertaining. The well-appointed kitchen has new Corian counters, extra tall solid hickory cabinets, an island with a cooktop, double ovens, ample prep room, and every dish and appliance you would need for a special dinner. Choose between propane or charcoal grills, Keurig or carafe coffee makers. The breakfast table and large round dining table each face the lake and each seat 8. Eat outside on the dining set on the deck, the table below or the picnic table closer to the water. The downstairs bar doubles as a second kitchen. A formal billiard room, a movie room, air hockey, and game table provide many options for indoor entertainment. Widescreen TVs in the family room, bar lounge, and movie room allow different groups to catch a movie, game or play video games. Its 2 large master suites have water views and large tiled showers with benches. Two more bedrooms come with their own bath. Point to point Wi-Fi and Direct TV are included. There are 4 TVs, 2 DVD players, and 1 Blue Ray player. An excellent linen service with plush towels and clean quality sheets by Lake Anna Linens is provided.
It makes us so happy to hear our guests tell us that the house is beautiful, the waterfront gorgeous and that the house had everything they needed to make their vacation great. We love hearing that the water and sand were perfect for toddlers, that the kids were so happy, that the parents had a chance to relax.

A fun-loving Iowa boy who grew up on Lake Okoboji and a Speech Therapist from Louisiana got together, made a Brady Bunch and decided that Lake Anna was the place to bring the family together. We work hard so we are able to have fun and enjoy life. We love lake living. It makes us happy to help others have fun. Gregg is the kind of guy who taught all the neighborhood kids how to waterski.
You couldn't even see the house from the water with all the overgrowth. And the interior looked like the zombie apocalypse came during the Bush administration. Gregg cleared the exterior and shored up everything in the interior. Kim did the details to make this our retirement dream. But we're not ready to retire just yet.
So, we welcome other families to live the dream now.
Nothing makes us happier than hearing children squeal with glee, playing in the water and the full-bodied laughter of grownups having a good time. That's what makes it all worthwhile.

Next to Heron's Cove. We can book together with an advance notice to sleep 27. We're at the southern tip of Lake Anna on the private side, furthest from the power plant. So the water is warm, but not too warm. There are no Marinas on our side, but far less boat traffic and waves. We're closer to Richmond, Charlottesville, and Kings Dominion.
There's a long gravel driveway ending in a circle, you may park anywhere in the circle

“She’s a Brick Lake House” is located in an ideal setting. It’s quiet appeal is awesome. The house itself accommodated our large family and it’s ammenities are numerous. It was nice having 2 kitchens and bathrooms in four of the main bedrooms. Most of all, the house had the feel of home. It was clean and well stocked. We have no complaints at all and if there was any issue, Gregg and Kim were awesome Hosts. They provide you detailed lists and suggestions that you should fully take advantage of; it is a most helpful guide for your stay. Our family has already put in a request for next year.
This was a phenomenal vacation. When they say Family Perfect, it is indeed!

What a fantastic stay at Lake Anna! Our rental was picture perfect, inside and out! We were fortunate to meet Gregg when he stopped by to make sure everything was ok. Our grandchildren, ages 1-11 were all entertained with the water equipment, toys, and games. They asked if we could come back soon! Hopefully we will!

This is a beautiful property! The house is huge! It is well appointed and easily accommodates 2-3 families or 6+ adults and 8+ children!! Everything you could need or want - well stocked kitchen, very comfortable beds and luxurious linens and ample seating, entertainment options and more!!! We loved the sunset views and the Lake. It was warm in July but that didn’t bother us. It’s super private. Kids 12-10-8-7 year olds all had a blast with the kayaks and paddle boards and inflatables and we relaxed. The fire pit was great. We had S’mores and enjoyed ourselves! Definitely enough space to roam, curl up with a good book, enjoy a hearty meal or just chill out. No need to bring your movies or games - this place has an awesome selection!! Highly recommend!!

This wonderful home is spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully appointed. The owners care about their property – and it shows!
Before I get to the things we especially enjoyed and recommend to others, some words of advice:
• Pay close attention to the information Kim and Gregg provide and come prepared! You make up your own beds with linens they provide; don’t come in late (and tired) and find yourself surprised by this.
• Bring toilet paper and hand soap with you or set aside time to go to the store the day you arrive. They’re on the grocery list provided by Kim and Gregg, but we overlooked them and had to make a quick run to Food Lion before it closed at 11 p.m.
Now, about the property and surrounding area . . .
The size of our party fluctuated during the week as kids and grand-kids came and went, but the home could easily have accommodated all 10 of us at once. Our grand-kids are young (newborn to 3 years) so we were usually together on the top floor and didn’t need the second living area, but it was nice to have and would be great for older children. I can imagine, on rainy days in future years, sending the kids to the lower level and not seeing them again until dinner.
The property has everything you can think of to be happy: space and comfort inside; a pleasant sandy beach outside; a fire pit for roasting hot dogs and making s’mores; floaty toys, kayaks, and paddle boards; a beautiful deck on which to relax; and games and toys of all kinds.
The area is fun to explore. So much history! Because we were there to visit with family, we spent most of our time chatting, eating, and playing in the water, but if you want to sightsee, there’s lots to do! We covered just a small fraction of what there is, and still saw a lot:
• Monticello – Go early in the day to beat the heat and the crowds.
• North Anna Power Station Visitor Center – More fun than you might think.
• Cooper Vineyards and Lake Anna Winery – Wine tasting. Enough said.
• Lake Anna State Park – Skippable, but it was fun to touch the cold side of the lake.
• Cold Harbor – One of 13 Civil War sites that make up the Richmond National Battlefield Park.
Things we didn’t have time to see include more of Richmond and its battlefields; James Monroe’s Highland; James Madison’s Montpelier; and the University of Virginia, which, with Monticello, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Altogether a stellar experience. If you like lakes, I highly recommend staying here.

Great weekend getaway. Loved the house and set-up. Owners were easy to work and communicate with and very accommodating. Highly recommended.

We’ve been renting “cabins” for our annual family weekend for over 15 years. We all agreed that this was one of our best choices ever. There was plenty of room and plenty to do (which was great since the weather was fussy one day). The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes and appliances we could possibly need to create feasts for eight. The location is great, too. We were under an hour away from the museum in Richmond (and shopping) and there is a grocery store just ten minutes from the house. Many thanks to Kim and Gregg for opening their beautiful home to us.

We stayed here for a week over labor day with our two young children and our friends came with their 3 young kids for the weekend. We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property! The kids had a ball and the house had everything you could ever ask for. You can tell the owners have taken a lot of time and effort to make this place as great as it is! I would like to thank Gregg and Kim for allowing us to use their house to make some great memories! They were very accomodating and easy to work with. We are certainly planning to come back again next year. We've rented multiple houses at Lake Anna and this house has been our favorite so far. Don't hesitate, book the house and you are guaranteed a great time!
