Close to Virginia Safari Park, Natural Bridge attractions, and the Natural Bridge Caverns. Come and create memories in the "Valley of Virginia". This family friendly property sits on three acres in Virginia country with neighboring farms. The Blue Ridge Mountains are visible when you look east through the trees. Poague Run trickles down the right side of the property. Volleyball/badminton court, horseshoes, and campfire pits just right for roasting hotdogs and toasting marshmallows are available for guests' use. This is the perfect location for family vacations and site seeing or a restful getaway for couples seeking to unwind or visit the nearby wineries and breweries.
Step back in time at this beautiful log cabin in the country. This special place is furnished with antiques and old woodwork from a previous cabin on the site, yet has all of the amenities of modern day home including WIFI, Roku TV, and Xbox 360. The large gas log fireplace and leather sofa is a central feature of the great room. Curl up and enjoy an evening of reading, selecting from the nice collection of books, play any of the many board games provided, or just relax in the jacuzzi tub. Barbecue on the large back porch with either the gas grill or charcoal grill. At the end of the day you can watch the sunset from the front porch swing.
Easy access to Interstate 81 and US Route 11. Only 2 miles from the famous Natural Bridge, Monacan Indian Village, Natural Bridge Caverns, Virginia Safari Park, Dinosaur Kingdom II, and the Pink Cadillac Diner. Just 12 miles north is Lexington, home of General Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson, and the impressive campus of Washington and Lee University and Virginia Military Institute. Great getaway cabin
Had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen, to grilling, to a firepit. Just down the road from all the major attractions. Horses on nearby property were beautiful and friendly as well as their dog. Fun to have the visits!

Beautiful Property with Loads of Charm
Started off worried because the long time owner sold the property after we reserved. Not to worry! The current owners were wonderful communicators and did everything they could to make us comfortable with the reservation. We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived and saw this charming cabin and beautiful property. We had a graduation picnic and the graduates and friends had a blast playing lawn games and just hanging out by the fire pit eating s'mores. The cabin is well provisioned all the way down to a first aid kit. (which wasn't needed. :) We recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun week/weekend away.
