This beautiful log vacation home was completed in 2003 and has been photographed for national magazines! It features 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, amazing views of the Shenandoah Valley and can accommodate from 1 to 8 people. The master suite located on the main level features a king size log canopy bed and private bath with whirlpool tub. The bunkroom located on the second level, features 2 queen beds and 1 twin bed and a private bath with skylight. The third bedroom is located on the lower level and features a queen size log canopy bed and private bath. There is also a finished Rec-room with a lower level stone and log outdoor living and dining room with grill, dining set, sofa, coffee table and two chairs all overlooking amazing views. A screened porch with fireplace, an outdoor hot tub, gourmet kitchen, beautiful furnishings and luxurious appointments throughout complete the picture. This home is by far one of the most luxurious rental properties in the Shenandoah Valley - perhaps Virginia!
Mystic Pines was the model "show home" for a green build and design homebuilding firm by the name of MY GREEN COTTAGE from 2007-2010.
It has hosted several off site planning sessions and corporate retreats for small to medium sized management teams who want to get away from the office and the interruptions of the day to day work week. It is over 3200 square feet on three levels.
It was also the featured cover story for Log Home Living magazine in the fall of 2008 and has been featured in the Tour of Homes in the Shenandoah Valley.

Hidden Gem
Jim, thank you so much! We had a fabulous family vacation @ Mystic Pines. The view is spectacular! The house or should I say home is just that all the comforts you need are included. Many beautiful hiking areas and wineries. I would highly recommend this hidden gem!

Wonderful escape!
Our family had a wonderful time in beautiful Mystic Pines Log Home. The home is cozy, well furnished, and was the perfect place to celebrate a 60th birthday, retirement, and early Christmas. Our group of six was comfortable during our stay and had plenty of room to relax. The home is well stocked and has everything you need for an enjoyable weekend (including a waffle maker!). The views are outstanding. While there is much to do in the area, we spent the majority of our time in front of the fireplace, looking through the big windows, with good conversation. We definitely recommend this for your next get together! You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful Log Home
Jim, thanks for the use of your beautiful log home last week. As a minister, it is great to get away from the office with my team to do planning for the coming year. This is the third time we have held our off site planning session here and it was the best planning session ever!

Warm and Welcoming Environment
V Team was here! We are 8 friends from Canada who come here every year for spring cycling training camp. The hills here make if a perfect cycling venue. What a great cabin. The hot tub and the views of the mountains were spectacular. Highly recommend doing the DownRiver Canoe company just down the road. Thanks for sharing this piece of paradise and creating a warm and welcoming environment!

Spectacular Views
This is our second stay at Mystic Pines. This year we decided to celebrate Christmas here. The view of the mountains are spectacular and you can actually see the Shenandoah River from the deck. We love cooking together in your spectacular kitchen. The hikes up the mountain from your driveway were great. We will definitely be back to Mystic Pines...thank you for sharing your beautiful home!
